Singing Songs in My Head

i hit my coworkers shoulder lightly and he was like “you’re going to make me cry like a girl” and i was like “what’s wrong with being a girl?” and he was quiet for a moment then he looked into the distance and whispered “the social standards they’re forced to live by”

Me: *sees skeleton decorations in store*
Me: *breathes*
Mom: no

we praise men for the most trivial shit like “omg he buys you pads and chocolate!!!! hubby material!!!”

Also this sort of attitude makes it seem like doing this sort of thing is a plus but not needed. It teaches girls that they’re lucky to be treated well by men, rather than teaching them that they deserve it.

Introverts, man. We’re weird sometimes. Like, “I love you, but I need to go over here by myself right now.”

i don’t want to be a part of a college system where plagiarism is a worse crime than rape

People think your cool if any time someone says “where are you going” answer “to do what I should’ve done a long time ago”

Does anyone else get really happy after a music practice that went really well? Like, after a band practice you’re finally able to play that really hard part of that one song and the band sounds so good it gives you goosebumps. Or after a really hard choir practice and your choir conductor says the choir’s sound has improved a lot. You just leave the practice all light headed and practically skipping home because wow you just love music so much.

So I cut it with a flat one instead.
